BEX Salon is a certified Green Circle Salon, which means that they are part of a network of salons that are committed to reducing their environmental footprint. Green Circle Salon is a certification program that helps salons divert up to 95% of their waste from landfills and waterways. This includes hair clippings, color tubes, foils, paper, plastic, and more. By sending these materials to Green Circle Salon, BEX ensures that they are either recycled, reused, or repurposed in an eco-friendly way.
But that's not all. BEX also uses and sells Kevin Murphy products, which are made with natural ingredients and packaged with Ocean Waste Plastic. Ocean Waste Plastic is plastic that has been collected from the oceans and beaches and turned into new packaging. This way, every time you buy a product from BEX, you are helping to clean up the oceans and prevent plastic pollution.

BEX is an LGBTQ+ safe space salon that welcomes clients of all backgrounds and preferences. BEX salon offers gender neutral pricing, which means you pay based on the length and complexity of your hair, not on your gender. BEX also has a diverse and talented team of stylists who are trained in cutting and styling all types of hair textures and styles.
BEX salon is more than just a place to get a haircut. It is also a place to support the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. BEX salon participates in the Dress Code Project, an initiative that connects gender-affirming hair stylists with transgender and non-binary clients who need a safe and supportive salon experience.

Beauty Gives Back
Another core value at BEX is the beauty of giving back to the community either through sales or events. Yearly we’ve participated in Earth day clean ups, complimentary haircuts, tangible donations and a percentage of retail sales. We’ve donated to national organizations or causes such as the YWCA, the Darby & Trevor Projects, NBCDI, To Life! and PP of Greater New York to name a few.
Through the support from our community and clients we are able to make these meaningful contributions happen. We believe you are who you surround yourself with and we are proud to surround ourselves with this community in Upstate New York!
